About the farm
Guava Ridge Coffee & Spice is Dorothy Chin and her nephew Kemoy on three acres her grandfather planted with Typica coffee in the 1960s, at 3,400 feet above the Yallahs valley.
We pick the ripe red cherries by hand from September to February, pulp them the same day, and dry the beans on the barbecue in the sun. Every Monday we roast a small batch, so what you buy was roasted that week.
Pimento, ginger, turmeric and thyme come from the same hillside, and the honey from hives set among the coffee.
